This is how it all started…

I enlisted in the Tennessee Air National Guard at 18 years old, following in my parents footsteps, both whom served in the military. Their example of service, discipline, and adventure inspired me to take a similar path. Little did I know, this decision would lead me to the opportunity to be in Europe for a year.

Being in the military has opened doors to travel around the world – whether it’s for work or my own adventures. I’ve had the chance to explore new countries, cultures, and landscapes, and each place has left a significant mark on me. But while I’ve enjoyed every destination, I never could have predicted the impact that my close companion – my husky, Romeo – would have on my journey.

My friends and Romeo encouraged me to get outdoors and explore the trails in the Nashville area, and that’s when I truly discovered the thrill of adventure. It wasn’t just about the physical challenge, but connecting with nature and the world around me. That’s when the idea for Adventures with Our Pups – Nashville was born. I started a Facebook group where dog owners could join on monthly hikes around Nashville and the group grew quickly. When I got the opportunity in Europe, I had to let the Facebook group go, but I have a lovely friend who took it over.

Now as my adventures have grown into something I could never imagine possible, whether it’s with Romeo, my friends, or alone, I am inspired to keep exploring. It’s been a journey of discovery that I am excited to share with the world through Wanderlust Echoes – Let the Adventure Begin.
